THE SITUATION

State funding for Alexander students has   stayed flat since 2009.  Meanwhile, the cost of educating students keeps rising every year.

Alexander Local Schools has already cut over $1.5 million in expenses over the past 4 years. It's not enough. Without a new levy, the district will need to cut another $1.5 million.

WHAT THIS COSTS YOU

This is NOT a property tax. An Earned Income Tax does not tax retirement, Social Security, IRA distributions, pensions, interest, dividends, capital gains, unemployment, or workers' comp.

For the median Alexander household ($65,783/year), this comes out to about $1.37/day or $41.11/month — the price of a cup of coffee.
